Road mode

Road transport, door to door.

Across France and Europe, road links every leg of the chain. HESTRADE organises your shipments as full (FTL) or part (LTL) loads, handles pre- and on-carriage for your air and sea freight, and delivers door to door with CMR documentation.

What we organise

From pickup to final delivery.

For which needs

When to choose road transport?

Europe & domestic

Intra-European flows where road is the most direct and flexible mode.

Door to door

Direct pickup and delivery, without unnecessary transhipment.

Air/sea complement

An essential multimodal link, before and after air or sea.

Documents & Incoterms

The CMR and the right Incoterm for each delivery.

The CMR consignment note governs international road transport. Depending on your commercial relationship, the "any mode" Incoterms — EXW, FCA, CPT, CIP, DAP, DPU, DDP — clarify who handles pickup, carriage and delivery. We advise on the right choice and prepare consistent documentation.

FAQ

Road transport — what to know.

What is the difference between FTL and LTL?

FTL (Full Truck Load) is a full truck dedicated to your goods. LTL (Less than Truck Load) is a part load grouped with others: more economical for volumes that don't fill a truck.

What is the CMR consignment note?

The CMR is the document for international road transport of goods. It formalises the contract between shipper and carrier; we prepare it and check consistency.

Do you handle pre- and on-carriage for air and sea?

Yes: road handles pre-carriage to the airport or port, and on-carriage to the final consignee, for a continuous door-to-door chain.

Do you cover all of Europe?

Yes, domestically and across Europe. We select carriers suited to your goods, timing and budget.
