CASS MEMBERSHIP IN PROGRESS

A structuring process being finalised.

HESTRADE is currently finalising its membership of IATA's CASS system, a mark of rigour in the settlement and tracking of air cargo transactions. We share this factually: no IATA accreditation is claimed at this stage.

Frequently asked questions

What to know before you ship.

What is a freight forwarder (commissionnaire de transport)?

A freight forwarder organises and coordinates the transport of goods on your behalf, in its own name and under its own responsibility — choosing carriers and routings and handling the documentation. HESTRADE is a multimodal freight forwarder: air, sea, road and rail.

What's the difference between a freight forwarder and a transit agent?

A freight forwarder freely chooses the means of transport and commits to the result (obligation of result), under its own responsibility. A transit agent acts on the client's precise instructions with an obligation of means only. HESTRADE acts as a freight forwarder.

What is an AWB (Air Waybill)?

The Air Waybill (AWB) is the document that formalises the transport contract between the shipper and the airline. We prepare it, verify it and check its consistency with your commercial documents to avoid blockages and extra costs.

Which modes of transport do you offer?

Multimodal transport: air freight, sea freight (FCL/LCL, groupage), road transport across France and Europe, and rail freight. We choose the most suitable mode — or combination — for your goods, timing and budget, anywhere in the world.

How long does it take to get a quote?

Within 24 business hours of receiving your shipment details: origin, destination, nature of goods, weight/volume and desired timing. The more precise your request, the more accurate the quote.

Does HESTRADE handle dangerous goods?

As a non-handler intermediary, we organise and coordinate transport without carrying out the physical handling of dangerous goods. Each player operates within its own field of responsibility, in compliance with IATA and customs regulations.
